Hey,after updating the realtek drivers via the MSI Live Update app, my Realtek HD Audio Manager went missing. So I uninstalled the drivers using windows control panel, downloaded the newest drivers manually from the MSI Page and reeinstalled them. I did this two times, each of them with a fresh download of the drivers but the HD Audio Manager stays lost. Windows Control Panel shows that the audio drivers are installed. Is anyone familiar with this issue or has an advice yet?MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon + Ryzen 5 1600x.
I would say the installation process is rather unsuspicous: When clicking the.exe it's extracting the files first, then the installation starts. The extracting takes quite a while (not too long, just compared to the installation itself), the installation afterwards is pretty fast. After the installation is finished it asks me to reboot my system what I accept by clicking the respective button.
After the reboot the Realtek drivers would show up under the installed programs, but the HD Audio Manager shows neither in control panel under 'Hardware and Sound', nor does it show a tray icon. Manually starting the Audio Manager, as suggested by Nidhoggr, fails as well.So the only thing might be that the installation is pretty fast, but since I don't know how long it should take normally, I can't tell if there is anything wrong with it. But there are no error messages showing up or anything like this during or after the installation.
I always disable all my firewalls's functions when installing drivers, so i already did it. Another thing i tried in the meantime is the system recovery: When I reset my windows to a restore point before the driver installation the Audio Manager is working fine, but when I try to update it the Audio Manager gets lost again.Do you think a complete reinstall of Windows could help nontheless?I also contacted the MSI support on that topic, he suggested a reinstall of Windows as well and if that doesn't work RMAing the board. But I wonder if it can be a hardware issue since the Audio Manager is working again after restoring the system and just the update keeps screwing it. Well I thought that I would have uninstalled nahimic, but there was still a programm called 'Nahimic VR' left when searching for nahimic in control panel. I uninstalled it, uninstalled the realtek drivers and installed them again.
But it's still not working. I tried both drivers, the one frome the MSI Website as well as drivers that I downloaded directly from realtek. There is just one change I believe I noticed: A few posts ago I reported about the Windows Problem Reporting opening for a split second in the task-manager when trying to start the Audio Manager manually using its.exe. Now when doing so the Problem Reporting opens for a few seconds and so does the Audio Manager.
But again, only in task manager and both shut down after a few seconds.I will try to reinstall Windows now. I hope this helps, I really don't want to have to RMA my board since that would be really time-consuming:-/. Hi everyone,I have the same issue as described here. I tried all the steps that everyone mentioned here and in other forums.

I don't really want to reinstall windows, there has to be a solution without having to do that.My main problem is that my microphone seems to be stuck in a very low volume. It's a microphone connected via mini jack 3.5, the headsets are hyper X cloud. I think that I'll have to purchase a mini jack to usb sound card / adapter but I'd prefer to solve the problem. Also there is like a constant noise / buzzing on the microphone because on the teamspeak for instance it shows as constantly speaking even if I am not. I had this problem as well and not only did I try the various ideas/methods of fixing it mentioned here (ignoring the re-installation of windows) but also some I found on other sites. Nothing worked until I decided to say 'screw it' and tried the reinstalling of windows. While tedious I wish i had just done so from the beginning as it would have saved me a lot of time.
Now I am by no means positive but I have an idea as to what could have caused this issue to occur in the first place. After installing the operating system the first time I had installed applications via the disks which came with my computer parts. My Mobo and GPU are both MSI and I'm not sure which of the two disks I installed it from but I installed Nahimic 2 (an older version) from the disk and installed the most recent Realtek HD Audio Driver/Manger via MSI Live Update 6. After reinstalling the operating system I installed Realtek Drivers from MSI's website and Nahimic 2 from it's website, and well.
It works just fine now. You are right at this time but.Nahimic is a sound effects program strongly linked to the Realtek HD audio drivers. So, if you update drivers, you must previously unisntall Nahimic then, at the end of the update, reinstall it: else, Nahimic should block drivers update, work badly (cracking sounds) or, in the worse case, generate BSOD. Furthermore, Nahimic uninstaller is not clean: traces can remain with potential impact on the pc sound/record.
To fully remove Nahimic:- Run its uninstaller- Open registry, search for 'Nahimic' and suppress all- RestartIt will be laborious to do that each times!Even doing that, you are not certain that all will works properly: often Nahimic update is published a long time after the Realtek HD audio drivers. In others words, taking the last versions published on the MSI site does not insure you against their incompatibility! To finish, Nahimic is not essential. If you have not installed it and want to configure sound/record, use 'Realtek HD Audio settings' application:C:Program FilesRealtekAudioHDARtkNGUI64.exe.

Especially since I had tried to do that to fix the problem in the first windows installation however there were some entries which I couldn't delete (it just gave me an error when attempting to).
Hopefully that doesn't occur again because I want to just completely remove Nahimic and not use it anymore. At first I thought I wanted Nahimic, particularly for the Microphone options but after messing with them I decided they just make worse so now I'm not even using any of Nahimic's features.Edit: What about 'Nahimic VR' which came with the Realtek Drivers on MSI's website?Edit2: I decided to just uninstalled Nahimic VR and Realtek as well, remove anything Nahimic related from registry and now I am reinstalling Realtek (+ Nahimic VR since it automatically installs with it) from MSI's downloads. I assume it will work just fine but hopefully with future updates it will not break again.
